I tested the machine and I said do myself let me get few more to give to friends as a gift, but was too late the price went up to almost 100.00. The only thing I regret is because I bought it this year and I should've bought a long time ago even paying the 100.00 price. This machine is excellent I have cooked so many different thing on it and I love it. I do agree with someone that said that it makes a little noise,but just spray a little oil on it. It does what they show on TV commercial and much more ,just be creative.

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these as I moved into my small apartment. The moment I took it out of the box I had a bad feeling about it. It felt badly constructed and not very sturdy. The oven door wouldn't really shut tightly and the heat was seeking out. There was no temperaure control for the hot plates and after two month of occasional use it just died on me. I wouldn't recommend this product to anybody. Avanti should be ashamed of itself to put such a poorly constructed product on the market.

(More customer reviews)I thought this toaster-oven was too good to be true. Look at all the features! Well you can't use the top for steaming or cooking without the interior oven being on, which seems very counter-productive. Wanted a rotisserie, but this took forever to cook. The timer shuts off the oven with 10 minutes left to go!
Tried Ellios pizza slices... came out not crisp, not even hot after twice the time listed for baking in toaster-oven. You have to turn one dial to do this... Another dial to enable the first dial.
Perhaps someone else can find this a miracle toaster-oven but that won't be me. I am sorely disappointed. If it sounds too good to be true, it most probably is.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this product and think it is great!. We had a delonghi toasterfor a short while, and it never failed to burn toast , bagels or anything else we put in it. It could never regulate the temperature. Would NEVER buy another Delonghi product. This product toasts evenly and perfect, bakes to perfection and rotisseries a small chicken or game hen evenly. .It has a little handle pull for the racks and trays which make removing a pizza or larger items easy, and a full size bottom crumb rack . The rotisserie attachment is easy to insert or remove. Makes toast in a reasonable amount of time. The best part is: it is self-cleaning. I'm happy with it.

(More customer reviews)For the price this oven is fantastic!However, I was persuaded by the rotiserie function to select this oven over others, but to my dismay the product image for this model is not for model no. BCOB0020, 20 Liter Convection Oven.

The oven has only 3 functions on its dial - bake, broil and roast/pizza. No rotiserie nor separate defrostfunctions are on the dial nor is a rotiserie rack included.On a postive note, that is one less thing to break and you can still defrost using the bake setting and selecting a temperature.

Also noteworthy, if you are planning to use a large augratin dish or 9 1/2 by 11 1/2 baking dish, it will not fit in this ovenHowever, a round quiche dish, or 9 by 9 baking dish (whether round or square)will fit. I used my Pampered Chef large oval stoneware baker and it worked just fine. Instructions state any oven proof glass, metal or ceramic baking dishes can be used.Also for pizza, Wolfgang Puck recommends heating up a pizza stone first in the oven, before use, then slide the pizza from its prepartion tray onto the stone and cook.

I like that Wolfgang includes recipes for using this oven.He also states that it is normal to rotate your baking dish for even browning/cooking in convection ovens. I have never heard this stated in any product demonstration.

This is my first convection oven and it is larger than my old toaster oven. I placed it on a separate table so not to consume so much kitchen counterspace.The directions are easy to follow, and yes, the oven does get hot. They suggest leaving 4 inches of clearance on all sides and I felt the surrounding area get warm when the oven was in use.

The oven appears to be a high quality item; it has a 2 hour timer which is longer than other ovens and you can also select "stay on" so you can manually control how long it is on. Everything works as per directions, I am pleased so far with what I have prepared, and I look forward to using this daily in place of my regular electric oven.

By the way great super saver delivery from Amazon - I received my oven in 3 days.

(More customer reviews)I had one of these for 7 years and it was great. Eventually the lower elements stopped working. I was surprised to learn that Hamilton Beach doesn't offer replacement parts or repair locations. Local appliance repair people make expensive household calls only and couldn't find a tinkerer. So after researching other ovens, I decided to get another Hamilton beach anyway because of it's great dimensions, length of timer, simplicity of controls, power, price etc. I get the new one and the door is on crooked. Also, the front edge screws were in crooked and not in all the way.The oven is designed to have some space between the front glass and the frame but I'm talking about a crooked door with 1/2 inch difference from left to right that I could look down through to the inside of the oven without opening the door.My old one, which I still had to compare to, had nothing of the sort. And the last thing I wanted was chipping an expensive enameled cast iron pot on a cheap screw. I called up Hamilton Beach and told them about it and they ran me around for two weeks. They claimed that the oven worked fine despite this according to their engineers so basically they weren't going to take the oven back. If the outside was made this way then who knows if the next one was going to be the same and how well it was made inside. Thank goodness for Amazon's return policy. I got the Wolfgang Puck 42L instead and found a more spacious spot. The Wolfgang reaches 350 degrees on convection and 450 degrees on regular bake,has good height for pots, has simple controls, more space to handle a large chicken on a rotisserie, and a 2 hour or continuous timer. It has more elements on the top for broiling.If I need anything higher temp, which is rare, I'll use my gas oven as a back up. Goodbye to my good old Hamilton Beach; now E-cycled. Good riddens to the new one. Hello to the Wolfgang Puck 42L and not looking back.

West Bend 74706 Countertop Oven with Rotisserie Attachment Review

(More customer reviews)Just received our West Bend 74706 and tried it right out. Be advised to wipe it down inside and out for dust and then heat it up empty for about 15 minutes as it may smoke a bit as it heats up for the first time. First to note that it is built extremely solid. I've looked at every oven like this at Costco, WalMart, Sears, etc and not one had the solidity that this one has. The handle on the West Bend is rock solid as is the entire build quality of this model. Many other model's handles flex up and down considerably during use and I question how long they would last. We also like the analog dials rather then digital (and easier to see if you use reading glasses and want to avoid hard-to-read digital displays). Low tech adds up to ease of use and less that can go wrong over time! It also means more $$ went into the rest of the oven design and quality, not into hight tech controls! Also to note, YES!, this is a convection model which allows faster cook times and much more uniform heating across the oven. The oven convection fan and motor do emit a hum of sorts, but, nothing that is loud and annoying. We've baked chicken in it and tried the toaster function as well. Cook times were fast for the boneless chicken and the texture was perfect, still moist and not charred like some smaller ovens can do since the meat, etc., is too darn close to the cooking elements in those smaller models. Convection also allows lower heat output and more heat element cycling (not on 100% of the time) to allow reduced electricity consumption.Toast takes no more time then a normal toaster and browns very uniformly across the oven. The oven's profile is smaller then we expected (a plus for a limited counter spot) and yet it will hold a 12" pizza pan or a 5X9 cook pan. The oven seems well insulated as well and does a great job at holding in the heat where it needs to be. We haven't tried the rotisserie yet, but, the hardware included is like the rest of this oven, well made and solid. With very limited use as of yet, my feeling is that we'll continue to praise this model as we use it more and that it deserves the high ratings most owners gave it. It'll do it all and use only 110V in the process versus that 220V oven you use for a small item that could go in the West Bend instead. It's a keeper!
